Paynter’s Paint Ranch is proud to feature the lineage of COLOR ME SMART, APHA World Champion Cutting Horse and sire of offspring earning over $2 million. We focus our breeding program on performance horses suitable for Reined Cowhorse, Reining, Cutting, Team Sorting, Team Penning, Ranch Versatility and Roping.

We offer you the stallion service of SMARTLITTLEJRFRECKLES: NCHA COA and APHA ROM in cutting. “JR” is an APHA multiple World Show cutting finalist, placing 3rd in 2005, and was a finalist and Reserve Champion in the Paint Horse Super Stakes, 2005 and again in 2006. He is enrolled in the APHA Breeder’s Trust incentive fund program. We have numerous colorful and talented Color Me Smart,”JR”, and JR Red Diablo colts and fillies for sale that we have raised here on our ranch.

We also offer the stallion service of our junior stud, DIABLOS PAINTED DOC.  He won Junior Reining at the 2008 National Western Stock Show in Denver and the Bob Clark Memorial Reining Award as he had the Overall Highest Open Reining Score.  Doc has APHA points in Reining and Working Cow Horse and is a NRHA money earner.  He is currently leading the APHA Honor Roll in Junior Reining.
